11th Circuit Court of Appeals Rules Individual Mandate Unconstitutional

On Friday, August 12, 2011, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the individual mandate, a provision of the health care reform legislation, was unconstitutional.  The remainder of the law could stand.  The case was heard on appeal of a suit brought by Florida and 25 other states after Florida District Judge Roger Vinson ruled the entire health care reform law unconstitutional on January 31, 2011.
