There are a series of 3 Webinars that are being held in April – May that are focused aroundCRC cancer screenings and closing the gap through FLUFIT and other practical approaches. CME credits will be provided to physicians and
nurses. This is being offered by a collaboration between the MT DPHHS and
the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, in partnership with the American Cancer
Society, the MT Primary Care Association and Mountain-Pacific Quality Health.
Colorectal Cancer Screening-Closing the Gap through FLUFIT
and other Practical Approaches
American Cancer Society’s Dr. Durado Brooks will open the
series with state of the science and best evidenced practice for implementing
change in clinics.
Dr. Michael Potter will discuss the FLUFIT (pairing flu
shot clinics with colorectal cancer screening) concepts and applications for
primary care settings.
Dr. David Perdue will introduce emerging research on
using FIT test in Alaskan Natives and applications to American Indian people
for colorectal cancer screening.
