Communities

The first step for communities interested in learning more about establishing a community health center is to contact the Oklahoma Primary Care Association (OPCA).  OPCA's Director of Community Development, Judy Grant, can guide you through the entire process, from the earliest phases of eligibility determination and community buy-in to successful grant application.  Interested community members are invited to contact Judy at:

jgrant@okpca.org
(405) 424-2282, ext. 104

OPCA offers a two-day comprehensive workshop entitled Mastering The Grant Process:  Section 330 Core Competencies throughout the year.  Please contact Judy Grant for the next available workshop
.

Evaluation comments from the workshop include:
"I have learned so much.  Questions I have long had have been answered."
"The training for the 330 CHC program was invaluable and the information so helpful in understanding."
"Well thought out and presented - Well researched material"

To learn more about the excellent care offered by community health centers both statewide and nationally, please visit our Answers page.  Or, to learn more about specific, existing health centers in Oklahoma, please visit our Members page.

To equip CHC boards with the tools necessary for proper stewardship of health centers, OPCA developed a monthly series that provides board members with information on a variety of 330 topics.  To download copies of the monthly series, Board Bulletin, please visit the CHC Boards page.
