Why is this webinar important to my CHC?
Community Health Centers are a critical partner in meeting the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS). A key factor outlined in the NHAS is to reduce HIV incidence in the United States by 25% by 2015.
The HIV initiative in CHCs was specifically referred at NACHC’s P&I as a way to support health center development as patient centered medical homes with HIV as a population of focus. Some health centers have been audited for HIV Testing policies - this training will help you understand more about HIV screening, testing, procedures and policy development.
Who should attend?
Physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, dental professionals and pharmacists
What is the webinar cost?
Free. Registration is required to attend and receive CME credit for the training.
Who is conducting the training?
The Texas/Oklahoma Aids Education Training Center (a Ryan White funded entity) at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center Department of Medicine Infectious Diseases Section have significant experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of HIV/AIDS and are currently working in their field of expertise.
