$7.8 Million for Oklahoma's Community Health Centers

$7.8 million dollars of President Obama’s $155 million Recovery Act grant funds will be used to support six additional community health centers (CHCs) in Oklahoma.  In 2007, Oklahoma CHCs served over 107,000 patients– nearly 50% of who were uninsured – providing affordable, comprehensive health services to Oklahomans across the state.  With the additional grant funds, CHCs will be able to serve 40,000 additional Oklahomans and will create over 300 jobs.
