NHCW Kick-Off Event Details
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin issued a statement regarding community health centers.
“Last year, over 147,000 Oklahomans chose to seek health care in one of Oklahoma’s over 50 health center locations. Health centers are a critical part of ensuring that health care is accessible and affordable for underserved areas of our state. I urge Oklahomans to recognize the important contributions of health centers in safeguarding health and improving quality of life for many.”
Additionally, August 11-17 has been declared Health Center Week in Oklahoma. At yesterday's National Health Center Week (NHCW) Kick-Off event, Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Terry Cline presented the proclamation to Tim Starkey, OKPCA Board President. Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb also highlighted the impact health centers have on communities in Oklahoma.
We thank everyone who joined us and helped make the event successful!
