On Wednesday, March 9th, both the House-passed version of H.R. 1, the continuing resolution that includes $1 billion in cuts to the health center program, and an amendment to replace the language in H.R. 1 with a much smaller budget reduction and that would restore cuts to health centers failed to receive the required 60 votes needed to advance in the Senate. The bill now returns to the Senate calendar for further consideration while the countdown continues to the March 18th end of a short term continuing resolution signed into law March 3rd.
