2018 OKPCA Social Responsibility Awards

In 2014, OKPCA launched it’s first Social Responsibility Award/Project with KFOR’s Warmth for Winter coat drive. The event's purpose was to show Oklahoma how community health centers give back to those most in need. In recent years, OKPCA allowed health centers to showcase their own local social responsibility projects. This year we are taking it back to the beginning!

For our 2018 project, OKPCA is partnering with Infant Crisis Services, Inc. Infant Crisis Services is a non-profit organization that provides life-sustaining formula, food and diapers to babies and toddlers in times of crisis, because no baby should go hungry.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Each participating organization will collect packages of diapers through the start of our annual conference on Thursday, October 11. We encourage you to place a box (or two, or three!) in your facility(s) and encourage staff, patients and community members to donate to the diaper drive. The organization who collects the most diapers in their category will be the winner of the 2018 Social Responsibility Award.

ALL DIAPERS COLLECTED WILL BE DONATED TO INFANT CRISIS SERVICES, INC.

There will be one winner for each of the following categories:

  • Member organizations with 75 employees or less
  • Member Organizations with more then 75 employees

Because Infant Crisis Services has the greatest need for diapers in sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6, you'll be awarded more points for those sizes.
